October 12, 2026
BorderHQ, a technology and advisory firm advancing artificial intelligence for border modernization, customs technology and trade facilitation, today announced the appointment of James (Jim) Canham to its Advisory Board.
Jim brings more than 25 years of experience in consulting and government transformation. At Accenture, he led the firm’s global trade, customs and borders business for nearly a decade, following earlier work helping to build its UK central government practice. His experience spans the strategic and operational challenges governments face as they modernize public services, trade systems and border operations.
Since 2021, Jim has been based in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. He helped build Accenture’s Middle East practice and now works with governments and organizations across the Gulf as they pursue their ambitions to become global hubs for trade, logistics and travel. His regional perspective, combined with extensive international experience, will inform BorderHQ’s work with governments and border agencies as they navigate increasingly complex trade and border modernization challenges.
Jim began his consulting career at KPMG UK and has lived and worked in the United Kingdom, Mexico, Canada, France, Belgium and Australia. He holds a master’s degree from the University of London and an Executive MBA from École des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris.
As a member of the Advisory Board, Jim will contribute strategic perspective on trade, Customs and border transformation, including the development of the Gulf’s trade and logistics ecosystem. His appointment reflects BorderHQ’s belief that the next generation of border technology must combine deep government experience with the possibilities of artificial intelligence.
